USM Student Subunit of the American Fisheries Society hoping shirt sales will help fund future conference trips

The University of Southern Mississippi Student Subunit of the American Fisheries Society is selling T-shirts to help raise funds to support future trips to conferences.

A tripletail print design from local artist Craig Brumfield adorns the back of the moisture-wicking shirts.

“We wanted the shirts to be functional for the warmer months and something people would appreciate on those scorching days in the summer,” said Morgan Corey, Student Subunit president. “The shirt will keep you dry and offer protection against the sun.”

Shirts are selling for $20 and are available in sizes from S-XXL.

“All proceeds from the shirts will be used to fund travel awards for graduate students presenting their research at professional meetings,” Corey said. “Buying a shirt helps support local art, local schools, and the advancement of local students in a field they are very passionate about.”

If interested in buying a shirt, contact Morgan Corey by email at morgan.corey@eagles.usm.edu or at 228-818-8816.
