Sea Camp

Sea Camp 2011 at GCRLFor 28 years, Sea Camp has been the Coast's most popular marine science day camp for children in grades 1 through 6. This year, Sea Camp is offering two sessions covering different topics. Sea Camp I: Ocean Exploration. Sea Camp II: Endangered Marine Species.

Shark Fest

Shark Fest summer camp on the Mississippi Gulf CoastVisit the top shark fishing hotspots around the Barrier Islands aboard a research vessel. Catch and tag sharks to contribute to ongoing scientific research.

Shaggy's Angler Camp

Angler Camp Fest summer camp on the Mississippi Gulf CoastFish everyday. This program introduces young people in grades 7 through 12 to fishing in the diverse waters of coastal Mississippi. The five-day camp includes sessions on the water, in the lab, and in the kitchen, as students learn everything from tying a hook on a line to finding and catching fish to cleaning and cooking their catch.

Three-Day Adventure Camps

Saltwater Fly Fishing
Take your fishing experience to a new level. Learn
the basics of saltwater fly fishing iSaltwater Fly Fishing Camp on the Mississippi Gulf Coastn the Mississippi Sound. Participants will learn how to rig a fly rod and reel, cast, tie knots, and tie their own flies.
Our educators will teach you where to look for
fish and how to surf
fish, sight cast, and successfully land
saltwater species.

Kayakin' the Coast
Spend three days kayaking and exploring Saltwater Fly Fishing Camp on the Mississippi Gulf Coastdiverse and unique Mississippi coastal habitats by water. Learn about the different types of kayaks and let the experts help you develop your kayaking skills. During Kayakin’ the Coast, participants will explore Davis Bayou, Grand Bay Neer and Cat Island while interacting with and learning about our coastal environment.
